The fall of England has arrived, riding the people of its country like a beaten animal. Its people are now being held against their will from leaving the country if they wish. I thought the death of this once great country would show itself through over immigration and the violence that came with it. However, it is the treatment of its most vulnerable people, the sick and dying, that has shown the truth of socialism most clearly.
What happened to Charlie Gard and now Alfie Evans, along with their parents, shows us why it's not good to be living or sick in England, especially if you are fighting for your life. You WILL be left to die because fighting for your life costs too much. You don’t have a choice, because in the world of socialized medicine, your life isn’t yours. It belongs to bureaucrats who have reduced your life to mere decimals as they determine your worth in terms of monetary definitions.
Now, for the second time, a child is being abandoned by their health care provider as their parents are forced to watch from afar. What other kind of torture is worse? And England and her courts endorse this suffering. I can’t help but wonder if the Royal family’s latest edition would suffer the same fate as little Alfie. Somehow, I think not.
England has finally proven that it has fallen-- fallen to socialism.
Americans have been fighting over single-payer, socialized medicine since the Clintons first took office. Those pushing socialized medicine think that they can do it better and that THIS time, it will be effective.
People delude themselves into believing that the “Charlie Gards” and “Alfie Evanses” wouldn’t, couldn’t happen here in the ‘Good Ol’ USA.” But, as Kira Davis shows in her article, it’s all about the bottom line— it’s always about money.
In the article, she points out that the only way for socialism to work is to force people to be a part of the flawed system against their will, because, we, the people, are just too stupid to understand that socialism is what we need.
This is exactly the point in the ruling by the NHS and the courts to forbid their free citizens from leaving the country. If they are allowed to flee the heart-wrenching consequences of socialism, then others will want to do the same. How can a socialist system work without the cooperation of everyone? And how can you force people to participate in that socialist system when they discover that system may kill them or their loved ones?
This family’s right to fight for the life of their child is being completely ignored! This is NOT freedom! They have lost the right to live and die with some kind of support and dignity. I can not imagine what these parents have and are going through. Their choice of caring for their child has been taken by the government. Their child is the property of the state.
HIs parents, Kate James andTom Evans, have been fighting for the life of their child. This is a living hell as their child is neglected, denied oxygen, starved as food and water are now forbidden. The hospital room nothing more than an execution chamber.
If they allow Charlie and Alfie to flee the country, then how can they stop those who demand the same chance at life?
Ms. Davis continues:
Great Britain doesn’t yet have a wall to keep its citizens in, but the courts have built one with the law. Just as East Germany could not tolerate the massive loss of defectors who were leaving with their training, intellect and tax dollars, Great Britain’s healthcare system cannot tolerate the defection of those who might find better healthcare somewhere else.
After all, how would it look if Alfie were allowed to leave England (allowed to leave a free country! Even to write the words feels absurd!) and then found a successful treatment in another country?
It would be an abject embarrassment to a government that holds up their socialist healthcare as one of the wonders of the Western world. Not only would they be forced to admit that their own doctors and bureaucrats were wrong for denying this baby life-saving measures, but they would then have to deal with hundreds, maybe thousands of other citizens fleeing the bondage of NHS algorithms for a chance at swifter, more modern healthcare.
We are seeing this ideology in our own country trying to take root, and this is the fate that awaits us if we don’t stop the ridiculous notion that so many people have today— that free healthcare can exist in a free society. It can’t. Nothing is free. The price will be paid with your life or that of someone you love.
England has fallen! Will we allow the U.S. to suffer the same fate? This isn’t medicine; it is murder!
